Joovy Scooter X2 Review

Joovy Scooter Double Stroller

If you’ve overwhelmed by the variety of double strollers which are available and are looking for a recommendation, you may be interested in learning about the Joovy Scooter X2 double stroller. To find out why I recommend it to all of my friends, continue reading to discover my handy list of the pros and cons of purchasing the Joovy Scooter X2.

1. Double front wheels

This particular model boasts double front wheels, which have been designed to add extra stability. I also find that my stroller’s double wheels make it easier to maneuver in tight spaces.

2. Removable bumper bar

The Joovy Scooter X2 boasts a removable bumper bar, which is specifically designed to stop your children, especially once they become toddlers, from trying to climb out of their stroller. If you don’t see a need for a bumper bar during your children’s first few months of life, you can simply remove it like I did.

3. Narrow design

At just 30 inches wide, the Joovy Scooter X2 is guaranteed to fit through any standard sized door. Which I find convenient as I can’t count the number of times I’ve seen a mom or dad having to remove their children and fold their double stroller up, in order to fit it through a narrow doorway.

4. Reclining seats

Each of the stroller’s plush, comfortable seats can be individually reclined. So if one of your children wants to recline back, to a near flat position to take a nap and the other wants to sit up right, you’ll be able to recline one seat and keep the other up right.

5. Handy zip pockets

This particular model boasts two handy zip pockets, which are conveniently located on the back of each seat. I tend to put all of my personal belongings, such as my smart phone and wallet in one zip pocket and my twins’ belongings such as sunhats and bibs in the second zip pocket. Alternatively, you can choose to dedicate a zip pocket to each child, so that you don’t get their items mixed up.

6. Comfortable foot rests and head rests

I must’ve of looked at a dozen strollers before I found a double stroller which boasts comfortable foot rests. If your children’s’ comfort is your top priority you can’t go wrong opting for a stroller which offers extra features, which are designed to ensure that your children enjoy a comfortable ride.

7. Only takes a few seconds to fold up

If you lead a busy lifestyle and don’t have time to waste trying to figure out how to fold your stroller up, you’ll appreciate the fact that you can fold up your Joovy Scooter X2, using one hand in just a few seconds flat.

8. Boasts two cup holders

I love the fact that my stroller boasts two cup holders and I tend to use one to store a cup of coffee and the second cup holder to store my water bottle.

9. Secure five point harnesses

Forget traditional seat belts, the Joovy Scooter X2 boasts secure five point harnesses which will ensure that your children are safely secured in their seats. Better yet each five point harness, is child proof so you don’t have to worry about your children trying to escape, whilst you’re pushing your stroller down the street.

1. The brake bar is located too far down on the stroller

I wish that the brake bar was located further up on my stroller, as I’ve accidentally kicked it with my leg, whilst I’m walking, on multiple occasions.

How does the Joovy Scooter X2 compare with a similarly priced, double stroller? Another popular double stroller is the Combi Twin Cosmo stroller. It also offers comfortable head rests and foot rests, reclining seats, double wheels and large storage pockets. However, it is a few inches wider than the Joovy Scooter X2 and as such a little harder to maneuver, especially in confined spaces. The Combi Twin Combo also lacks a removable handle bar.

As you can see the Joovy Scooter X2’s advantages far outweigh it’s disadvantages. So if you’re in the market for a double stroller, it’s seriously worth considering buying one for yourself.
