Jeep Adventure Review

Jeep Adventure Jogging Stroller

I’ve always been an athlete in my younger years, and after giving birth to 2 beautiful boys over the course of 8 years, I felt that it was time to bring out the young athlete in me.

My body isn’t what it used to be – when I was in college, I had the flattest belly and the tightest thighs but childbirth and child rearing haven’t been kind on my body. Now that I’m 30, I finally decided to get myself and my 1-year-old a jogging stroller. Hitting 2 birds with one stone, I’m giving my son a comfortable stroller to rest and take a nap in, while I’m giving myself the opportunity to be fit again.

That’s why I bought this Jeep Adventure jogging stroller. If you want to take a look at this product, you can easily do so by clicking on the image. So anyway, here is my short review about this amazing new stroller that I bought just a month ago:

Why I Like It

The # 1 reason why I bought this stroller is because it looks really sturdy. I wanted to buy a jogging stroller that was stable and durable because I wouldn’t want my son to fall over accidentally while I enjoy my runs. And I trust the brand because it’s been around for many, many years.

The front wheel offers superior security and stability for brisk walking or jogging on any type of surface. I live in the city so my only obstacle is the sidewalk that’s filled with cracked concrete that just get in the way. The front wheel of this stroller can be locked so it goes in a straight direction and if I get stuck in a corner, I can easily unlock it and maneuver the wheel in any direction I want since it has the capacity to turn 360 degrees.

An added perk of this stroller is the iBaby sound system. I can take my iPod or any electronic device and play music while I go out for a walk or jog around the block. I can play my son baby music so he can easily fall asleep or I can play some upbeat songs so my baby can enjoy “jogging” with me. But I have to make sure I have my son’s favorite songs so I can play them whenever he starts getting grumpy.

The other reason why I like this stroller is because I can actually use it as an infant car seat carrier. Though I don’t use this feature, it’ll definitely be a big bonus if and when I have another baby. It’s actually compatible with any brand of infant car seat and I have a Chicco KeyFit and when I tried it, it fits perfectly. So I’m definitely keeping my car seat in storage, just in case I have another baby in the future.

What I Don’t Like About It

Although I am so in love with this stroller, it does have some drawbacks that I wish Jeep could’ve modified. One of its disadvantages is the fact that it’s really heavy. At 32 pounds, it’s hard for me to fold it and lift it up to throw in the trunk of my car. With a 1-year-old holding my hand, it’s completely impossible for me to do it – so I’d have to ask for my partner to do it for me – or a stranger on the street.

It’s also not compact when folded – well, they say it’s compact but it takes so much space that I can’t really put anything else in my trunk. In my small apartment, it takes up a lot of space, too. But I guess that’s what I get for having an extremely sturdy and secure jogging stroller.

Compared to Joovy Zoom 360

I’ve seen other jogging strollers in my neighborhood and one particular stroller really caught my eye. So I asked my fellow runner to have a look at her Joovy Zoom 360. I found out that both our strollers are in the same price range.

Both our strollers have the capacity to seat a toddler up to the age of 6 but her stroller is slightly lighter in weight – which I really liked. Both had canopies that covered our baby’s bodies, and both had parent organizers so we can access our water bottles easily as we jog.

But one thing that makes my Jeep Adventure Jogging Stroller stand out from this Joovy Zoom is its 2 in 1 feature. The latter can’t be converted into a car seat carrier and this is where they both differ. My Jeep stroller is a better choice if you want something that you can use from the very beginning of your child’s life until they reach the age of 6 or 7.

The Bottom Line

For a sturdy, durable, and comfortable jogging stroller with an amazing long term value, the Jeep Adventure jogging stroller is one of the best value-for-money options out there. Though it’s not so compact as I’d like it to be, it’s a small price to pay for such a functional and comfortable stroller that serves both you and your child.
