Graco Ready2Grow LX Review

The best umbrella stroller with tray

If you are in need of a high-quality dual stroller for your children, the Graco Ready2Grow stroller is the best way to go. It has many great features for busy moms on the go and ideal for growing families. I purchased the stroller not long after my youngest was born to provide my husband and myself with an easier way to transport her and our older son around on trips to the zoo, the park or everyday outings. I wanted a dependable stroller that would last us for many years, but I didn’t want to have to spend a fortune on baby gear. After plenty of research, we both decided that this stroller was the best option for the kids and ourselves.

The benefits of the Graco Ready2Grow

This stroller makes traveling with babies and toddlers a breeze. It features twelve riding options for two children ages newborn to youth. The rear seat is removable, which allows for more face-time while pushing the stroller. This is a great feature that is usually not included on most other dual travel systems because it allows you to interact and keep a close eye on your newborn.

The Graco Ready2Grow stroller has an easy to use one-hand folding system that locks into place automatically. This makes getting it to and from the car much easier, especially if you and baby are traveling alone. We love the large, roomy storage basket that is perfect for holding snacks, small toys and diaper bags. There is a snack tray which allows older kids to enjoy treats while on the go which is perfect for all-day outings. The removable child’s tray can hold two cups or bottles, as well as snacks. There is a snack tray for adults at the top of the stroller that includes a pivoting cup holder.

The front seat, rear seat, and the standing platform are each capable of holding a child up to 50 pounds. The rear seat is designed to hold children up to 40 pounds. Both seats feature three and five point safety harnesses that help to keep your children safe while on the move.

The neutral tones of the stroller makes it an ideal gift for any upcoming baby shower. I am sure that any new parent would greatly appreciate this stroller as a gift. It is made of strong and durable materials that should last throughout many years of use.

The disadvantages of this stroller

While I have been very pleased with this product since we purchased it and still believe that it is the best deal on a dual stroller under $200, it does have a few disadvantages. The stroller is very large and can take up a large amount of room in the trunk of your car, so using it on days when you expect to be filling up the trunk with groceries is not recommended. It is also a little on the short side which can be a nuisance for some taller individuals, but not a big deal for short moms like me. The cup holders for the adult snack tray are a little small so don’t expect to be able to carry around a large reusable water bottle. Aside from all that, I have had no other issues with the stroller and would definitely recommend it to new and expecting parents.

How does this stroller compare to others?

Compared to other strollers within the same price range, the Graco Ready2Grow stroller offers more convenience than the Graco Classic Connect with its simple folding system. It also features what appears to be a safer and more durable design than the DuoGlider models and offers more room than the Safety 1st stand on board dual stroller.
