Evenflo Symphony Car Seat Review

Evenflo Symphony Review

The Evenflo Symphony Elite is a highly recommended toddler car seat.  It’s earned the #1 rated car seat award by a leading consumer magazine, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety has rated it as a Best Bet for providing good lap and shoulder belt fit in almost any car, SUV and minivan for the typical 4 to 8-year-old child, and last but not least, it received the National Parenting Publication Awards Gold Prize for its innovation, its usefulness to consumers, and it’s high quality. Alltogether one hell of a reason to write this Evenflo Symphony review.

For infants, who were seated in rear facing mode, it provides a very comfy ride. Regardless of what car you drive, the mechanism to adjust the rear facing recline should do the trick. When it comes time to switch from a rear facing infant seat to a forward facing toddler car seat, this can be done with ease.

The seat comes with three separate recline settings, the first being required for rear facing, but the second and third settings can be used with the harness in conjunction with the forward facing seat, while the booster mode uses the third setting exclusively.Evenflo Symphony - Cup Holder

Pros and Cons

For a car seat in this price range, I would say it has one significant drawback.  While it provides an excellent fit for newborns of average size, the limitations placed upon size requirements for the rear facing seat are questionable.  Especially given the recommendations of how long we should now keep our children in a rear facing car seat. The biggest advantage of the Symphony Elite is that one car seat will fit multiple children of different ages and stages.Evenflo Symphony - E3 Side Impact
