Baby Stroller Brands

I thought I would put together a list of all of the baby stroller brands available in the US.  I have to say I was shocked to learn there were so many.  But there is a good selection from the lower-priced, economical strollers, right through to the high-end, trendy baby strollers.  I’ve also included information on where you’ll be able to find each product.

4moms

Actually started up by five moms, this company started in 2005.  They produce a number of baby products including the first self folding stroller called the Origami.  Their products are only available in specialty shops and online.

BOB

Acronym for Beast of Burden, this company started out making bike trailers for children in 1994.  Today their products include a variety of off-road and jogging strollers for active families, as well as a selection of on road strollers, car seats and bike trailers.

Baby Jogger

While they now also manufacture traditional style baby strollers, Baby Jogger is the creator of the first three wheel jogging stroller.  They also produce all terrain strollers available in both single and double models.

Baby Trend

This company has been in business for more than 22 years, producing a range of baby products including car seats, high chairs, nursery centers and baby strollers.  Their products are available online and in brick and mortar stores wherever children’s products are sold.

Britax

In business for more than 70 years, but only in the US since 1996, they produce car seats and also have a selection of best-selling baby strollers.  Available online, and at brick and mortar retail stores.

Bugaboo

This European manufacturer produces high-end strollers that are compact, customizable and easy to use.  Some styles are available with a bassinet.  Check their website for retailers, which are available in most but not all states.

Bumbleride

Led by a husband and wife team who founded the company in 2004, this company manufactures high-end strollers available both in single and double models.  Available in specialty shops and online.

Chicco

Established in Italy in 1958, and pronounced kee-co, this company’s lineup includes some best-selling car seats, strollers, high chairs and toys.  Available online and at most brick and mortar retailers.

Combi

A subsidiary of a Japanese-based company that has been in business since 1957, Combi USA was formed in 1989.  Baby products include outdoor products, like play yards and swing sets as well as baby strollers, infant carriers and car seats.  Available online and at most brick and mortar retailers.

Cybex

Another European company, their lightweight strollers are distributed in the US by Regal Lager.

Delta Children’s Products

In business since 1967, Delta is the manufacturer of a variety of nursery and toddler room furniture, as well as strollers and play yards.  Available at Kmart, Wal-Mart, Target and Toys “R” Us.

Dorel

Dorel is the manufacturer of such brands as Safety 1st, InStep, Quinny, Maxi-Cosi and Cosco.  They also manufacture licensed brands such as Eddie Bauer and Disney.  Available online and at most brick and mortar retailers.

Evenflo

A well established and reputable company, Evenflo has been manufacturing products for children for the past 85 years.  These include car seats, strollers, high chairs, play yards and a variety of other baby products.  Available online and at most brick and mortar retailers.

Graco

A favorite when it comes to baby strollers and car seats, this company began as a metal products company in the 1950s and grew into a baby products company with the creation of a popular baby swing.  Available online and at most brick and mortar retailers.

In STEP

A division of the above mentioned Dorel, this company manufactures an array of juvenile products, including mixed wheel strollers, swivel wheel strollers, pedal cars and bike trailers.  Available at a selection of brick and mortar retailers, and from the company’s website.

JJ Cole

A part of TOMY International, who produce infant products and toys, JJ Cole was most known for its Bundleme infant carriers, but is also gaining a name for their baby strollers and car seats.  Sold online and at some specialty stores.

Joovy

This family operated company manufactures high chairs, play yards and strollers as well as a wide range of accessories for its products.  Available online and at Buy Buy Baby.

Kolecraft

This company was established in 1946 and manufacture a wide selection of children’s products, including strollers, high chairs, bassinets, swings and walkers.  They also partner with brands like Sesame Street and Jeep to produce a selection of children’s products.  Available online and at brick and mortar retailers.

Mamas and Papas

This is a British brand that was introduced into the US in 2010.  They produce mid-to high-end strollers that are modern and stylish.  Available online, at specialty retailers and at Babies “R” Us.

Mountain Buggy

Necessity is the mother of invention – or in this case, the father.  Mountain Buggy was born in 1992, when a dad wanted to take his baby and enjoy the terrains of New Zealand.  The company is recognized for its all-terrain strollers, but has also produced strollers for urban dwellers as well.  Available online, at specialty shops, and baby centers.

Mutsy

This is a company out of the Netherlands, but they operate out of the US via a headquarters in New Jersey.  They are not new to the industry, as they have been manufacturing baby strollers since 1935, and have included high-end strollers, high chairs, and seats to their lineup.

Orbit Baby

Another manufacturer of high-end baby strollers, this is a California based company.  As well as baby strollers, they manufacturer toddler car seats, bassinets, and have an infant car seat that is part of a travel system.  You can buy online direct from the company’s website, or use the website to locate a local dealer.

Peg Perego

The name of this Italian company is quite familiar here in North America.  Their products are typically in the higher priced category, and include baby strollers, car seats and high chairs.  Available online, at Target, and at Babies “R” Us .

Quinny

A division of the above mentioned Dorel company, Quinny makes their products available through their own website, and at specialty stores.

Silver Cross

Manufacturing baby carriages in Britain since 1877, this company now manufactures high-end baby strollers.  They are only available through the company’s US website.

The First Years

Baby strollers are just one of the many products available through this company, which is a division of RC2, who design, produce, and market an array of products specific to children.  Available online and at brick and mortar retailers.

Tike Tech

This is a Canadian manufacturer of all-terrain and jogging strollers, available in both single and double models.  Available online and in specialty stores.

UPPAbaby

This manufacturer is an eco-friendly company that produces mid priced strollers and accessories.  Available online, and at specialty stores such as Buy Buy Baby.
