Baby Jogger City Mini GT Review

Baby Jogger City Stroller

With so many joggers on the market, you may be having a tough choice deciding between the joggers on your short list. If you’ve been eying up the Baby Jogger City Mini GT stroller and are interested in a mom’s opinion, continue reading to discover my list of pros and cons, which is designed to help you figure out if you should purchase this particular model or opt for an alternative.

Pros:

1. All terrain wheels

If you’re anything like me and enjoy jogging on grass and dirt tracks, you’ll love the fact that this particular model boasts large wheels which are designed to be used off road. After all jogging on pavement day in, day out can get a little monotonous.

2. Front wheel suspension

As the suspension system is located on the jogger’s front wheel, you’ll be able to run down undulating tracks without disturbing your son or daughter as the front wheel suspension absorbs the bulk of the impact of moving across uneven terrain.

3. Comfortable, reclinable seat

This model must boast one of the most comfortable seats on the market as it can recline to an almost flat position and offers innovative vents which help prevent your baby from becoming hot and uncomfortable.

4. UV 50+ sun canopy

Whilst most joggers offer a sun canopy to protect your little one from the harmful effects of the sun, this particular model is one of the only joggers which is designed to block UV rays. As a bonus, it’s sun canopy also boasts two peek a boo windows, which allows you to keep an eye on your little one, whilst your pushing your stroller.

5. Five point safety harness

If you’re worried about your child being tossed around your jogger whilst you’re running, fear not, as it boasts a modern five point safety harness which will ensure that your child is safe and secure.

6. Conveniently located brake

The break on this particular model is conveniently located, next to the handle bar, on the upper part of the jogger. So should you feel the need to use your brake at any point in time, you’ll be able to stop your stroller within just a few seconds.

7. Quick fold technology

One of my favorite features is that you can collapse the Baby Jogger Mini GT stroller in just a few seconds flat, due to it’s patented quick fold design. I’ll admit I have a tendancy to run behind schedule, so when I’ve only got 10 minutes to meet my friend’s for a fun, I find being able to collapse my stroller within seconds to pop it into the back of my car, a life saver.

8. Assembly is a piece of cake

I’ll admit I was a little hesitant when I discovered that assembly is required. However my stroller came with a fool proof, step by step, instruction guide, complete with illustrations which I found really useful. All in all it probably took me all of 10 minutes to put my stroller together.

Cons:

1. I’m not willing to pay for extra accessories

There are a plethora of accessories which are designed for this particular model, including a child tray, a car seat adapter, a drink holder and a foot muff which are sold separately. I wish that they came stock standard as I don’t want to spend a lot of money on extra accessories.

Comparison with a similarly priced jogger:

How does it compare to a jogger in the same price market? The Chicco Activ3 jogging stroller, can be brought for a similar price and also boasts a reclining seat, however it’s seat is not able to reach the near flat position, that the Baby Jogger Mini GT’s seat can achieve.

To be honest, the Chicco Activ3’s seat doesn’t look nearly as comfortable as my jogger’s seat. I also think it’s a shame that the Chicco Activ3 doesn’t offer a sun shelter that has windows as I wouldn’t feel comfortable running if I wasn’t able to keep an eye on my child.

Conclusion:

If you’re looking for a jogger which works just as well off terrain as on sidewalks and which boasts a variety of modern features, you really can’t go wrong purchasing the Baby Jogger City Mini GT stroller.
